why do men act like babies?

i have been married for thirty eight years and my husband hasnt grown up yet. why do they tend to ack like babies when they dont get what they want? they pout and hit and throw kid tempertantrums.

I don't know. There could be any number of reasons for your husband acting that way. You can't make him do anything. But there are things you can do. For instance, are you treating him like your husband or are you treating him like he's your child? Are you doing your best to trust him, or are you constantly nagging him about things he doesn't do? Improve on your behavior and your husband will eventually have to respond to it in some way.

Anyway, this probably isn't the best place to get advice. And this probably isn't a good place to vent. If you want expert advice, ask an expert or read books written by experts. If you are venting, your friends will understand you better than most people on Y answers.

It seems to me that they have been babied by mommy and then in turn the wife. You may not have realized it but you may have enabled him along with his parents and other major influences in his life. Depending on what he is throwing a temper tantrum about may mean that he is in need of something that he isn't getting!! Typically they were never given the choice to grow up- well they were given the choice but never really given the reason because they always got away with it before!!

Most men are MOMMAS BOYS I was(,my mom passed on last year God bless her,was a great and loving , Christian person..I was the jerk) and their mothers spoiled them rotten and taught them to be crybabies and have their little tandrems...because no matter 'mommas little baby boy could never do no wrong.' Rewarded with basically anthing to get them to behave, and be a nice and sweet little boy. WOMEN THEREFORE ARE THOUGHT OF AS NUTURERS! YOU ARE A WOMAN AND THUS YOU ARE EXPECTED TO NURTURE! GET IT? On the other hand, fathers don't want their sons to cry and pout cause that is the way weak sissy boys act..Mothers have even been know to rescue their baby-boys DA DA when he is to demanding or tough on little Junior. Your husband needs to hang out with real men who use to be Mommas Boys. He must set an example..Thank God my parents were Christians, the Holy Bible tells how a man should act.

Yeah that is a (Man) for you. They are supposed to be the tough ones and they are usually like little kids. Sometimes they are really spoiled during childhood and never grow out of it and other times I just think they never grow up.

Because you women ack like mothers. You treat men like kids. You don't trust them, they can't look at other girls, they can't go out with friends, they can't have hobbies, they give up everything to you women who control every aspect of their lives, then when they finally want something, they cry like kids when they don't get it. Get it. Give your man the freedom to be a man, and he'll start acting like one. If he doesn't, kick his sorry butt to the curb.
