i would tell her because when she goes out with me and looks a mess i will make a bad impression also since she is with me. and what kind of friend would i be letting her go outside looking crazy?

I'd tell her she looks a mess. I wouldn't let my best friend go out looking bad.

If those are the only options, I would tell her, but usually I'd say nothing not so I could look better, but so she wouldn't get mad.

Tell her. Being a good friend or best friend or any type of friend means you tell that friend the truth whether it hurts or not. Because it will hurt coming from some stranger.

It all depends on what your objective was... If I was a good friend, I would probably say nothing.. to make me look better.. probably that would not Be the case.

Mmm...well I wouldn't want to be seen with a total bum, but I would want to stand out...haha. I guess that is my devil conscious talking. I would probably just suggest that we watch a movie at home. Order a pizza.

Apparently you are embrassed to be seen with her when she looks her worst.
Why don't you ask her to try on some of your own clothes because you thought she might look cute in them.
