No, not all are. You should look at the reasons that she keeps loosing it with you. If it is the same thing over and over then you may want to think about changing it. There are things that I do that will set my wife off in seconds. I have learned what they are and how to avoid them. If she is just going off without any reason then you may need to evaluate other thing in your relationship. Is she mad at you, or blaming you? She may not even realize it. If you have been married before and had a bad experience you may have married a person that is similar to your previous wife in personality. We are all drawn to a specific type. If there is any type of a cycle you could chalk it up to hormones

Don't lose hope!!! There are still some of the good old fairy-tale wives, who love their husband, always support him, and never reproach him for anything. How do i know? I am one of them! :) Or at least trying to be! But here is a piece of advise: don't take anything so personal. Women are famous for the fact that they don't know what they want. IT"S TRUE. For better or worse we change our mind very quickly. So, if you offer something and your wife's response is "NO! Are you crazy?", don't feel blue. Wait and be patient. Let her think about it. Give her some time. You'll see that in 5 minutes she'll come and tell you that your idea (or what you've done) is Great! Such are we, women! Complex, complex, complex! Go figure!

Not all wives are like that, but unfortunately some are. I think too many people (not just women) get married thinking they're going to change someone into their ideal mate. So, in an effort to get the person to become more like their ideal, they criticize. What I think too few people who do that realize is the very result you described: "I don't feel like trying anymore." So, the tactic backfires. The sad part will be that if you get a divorce, the woman won't see her part in the problem at all: "I told him he was an idiot for doing such-and-such, but he kept doing it anyway!"

One of the most difficult pieces of advice I have heard is: We ALWAYS get what we want. You need to answer to yourself why you are so comfortable with being berated. Usually, we choose what is familiar, even when it is detrimental to us. You have to search YOU. Eliminate relationships for a while, sit with yourself, read some books, talk to a counselor . . . until you start to find answers. It takes hard hard work and acknowledging what you are afraid of, to make changes.

To answer your question: No way. I am thankful every day for my husband, and he knows it. How do I know he knows it? Because he says so. When you're happy with yourself, little things have a way of rolling off. People who are critical of others are self-critical. They are like seives: what goes in, runs out. They can never be fulfilled.

Though I truly sympathise with what you are living with,
but lets be fair to all the other dames out there.
Hope that things will change for the better soon enough.
Bless your family

I think we should clone sexualasia. She seems like the perfect wife.Getting back to answering your ques. many people feel the wife or the husband is as you described. Some people need the to vent and as the old saying goes "why do we always hurt the one we love" I think its because we either let them or they let us.

Have you and your wife fallen into some sort of rut? Maybe if you talked to her about what's been going on?

If she won't talk about it, perhaps some trips to the marriage counselor might be what it takes and maybe issues will be made clear.

I rarely get angry with my husband. I never criticize my husband. I always compliment him and try to lift him up, not tear him down.

Absolutely not. Each person is responsible for their actions. You can hardly group "all wives" in one category.
