I am going to waste my time here and tell you that you are crazy, but you aren't going to listen to me anyway, so I don't know why I am bothering but here I go.
The big problem is your ages. And I don't necessarily mean the difference in your ages, but the fact that neither of you are complete people yet. Look at it this way. The things we experience in our life, determines who we are as people. As we experience new things we grow and change to accomdate them. Responsibilites of life, like finishing school, college, getting a job, holding a job, having financial responsibilites, like car payments, insurance payments, house payments, all these things make us who we are. You guys are so young that you can't really believe you are done growing as people. Sure you may be deeply in love now, you may think you both know everything, but in 10 short years you will both be completely different people, or at least I hope you will be, because life does not usually stop in high school.
So, my point is not that you guys can't make it, but rather why rush it. If you get married at 18, then have some kids, then you wake up one day at 25 and wonder what happened to your life. Dude, you need to have some fun. Sure you can stay together, but go to college, do some traveling, get a career, then you have time to grow together, and truely see if you are soulmates.
Don't rush this, you have time, it will only cost you in the long run.

I think 18 in general is too young to be married. If you feel stable with each other love each other and are confident your relationship is going to last there is no need to get married yet. Wait a few years more your still 16. Buy a house 1st live together a few years first.

Not necessarily. But there are aspects which maybe you haven't considered.
Four years is a lot of difference at your age. Hopefully, she is much more mature emotionally than you. There are not many sixteen year olds who should be making these sorts of decisions now. In my opinion, it would be better if you just date each other for now. Until you get a few years under your belt, you won't have the emotional wisdom to make such a life altering decision, even though you may not think so now.
At your age, if you decide to have sexual relations with her, and one of your parent objects to it, your girlfriend could be hauled off to jail if it is found out. This is one reason why relationships at your age with older people is dangerous for you and them. It is wiser to stick to your own age group until you are of legal decision making age at 18. After that, you can do as you want.
If, after you turn 18, you both are still madly in love and can't see being with anyone else the rest of your life, then by all means, follow your heart and marry.
There are many people who have a distance of years between them, but who would not be with anyone else. Four years is not so much after you get older, but right now, it is a canyon to jump across as far as social mores are concerned. Tread lightly until you are of age.
Good luck and best wishes

4 years age difference is enormous when you are just 16 and she is 20. I really think you should cool things for a few years, wait until you are around 26 and she is 30, then see how you feel. I find it strange that a 20 year old is interested in a 16 year old.

i know a couple who met when they were 14. they got married at 18. they have both just turned 40 and are still very happy.
If it feels right then go for it. if you have any doubts talk about them. don't go into marriage with any secrets it will just build up and ruin your future together. Honesty is the best way forward, sometimes it can be painful to talk about feels and it can be even worse to hear someone else's. But talk about them. any doubts that you are having you girlfriend might be having them to!
Good luck x
