Depends which part of Brazil. But in my experience it doesn't matter to much. Nights are 12 hours long just like the days and people in Brazil are easy about their sleeping time and catch it up when necessary. Live the life and feel free!!!

Standard time on the eastern (Atlantic) coast is 2 hours behind GMT. Standard time on the western border is 5 hours behind GMT. Summer time is only observed in southern Brazil between October and May.
Lonely Planet are usually pretty good with time zones so visit their website www.lonelyplanet.com.
