I say FLY THAT FLAG, I SURE DO! PROUDLY no less. My family who died to fight for MY freedom, and yours, deserves nothing less.

Well, if his boss won't like it, it is time to move. I had a flag off my balcony for the two years I lived at my apt & there was nothing in the lease, & no one gave me trouble, lease of all the landlord.
Tell him you are a Proud American & you are allowed to hang a flag if you want.

Yes, we are Americans and we have all rights to raise up our national flag anywhere we want to. But, we must select a good and appropriate flags. Go to the link below in the source box and select the best flag you want to raise up. No matter what your boss thinks and dislike about it. It is our national identity that he can't take over. Hope you understand me.

Do some research and make sure that you are properly displaying the flag. Like not in the rain, not after sunset, unless lighted, etc. Then you'll have official government guidance on proper care and feeding of your american flag.

If there is nothing against it in your lease leave it hanging. Tell the manager that if his boss does not like it let the boss talk to you. Just keep records of your conversations with the manager (date time etc) and any one else and any correspondence in case they try to evict you.

Is there any law that protects us so we can fly the American flag, no matter what any one says?

I do not think you should care about that. In this country ANYONE can express his or her opinion, esp flying a flag. I would go ahead and do that. Today is a day to remember. I would not care whether your apartment manager's boss likes it or not.

Keep it up regaurdless of what they tell you! And if they threaten you, tell them they can refer all futher questions to you lawyer. My HOA tried the same thing with the American flags that line my lawn because of some stupid *** didnt like it and thought I should remove it. Well guess what, after they threatened me, and I turned the law team loose on them, .....guess what is still in my yard. Also, if they try to remove it, this is considered theft, and the can be thrown to the wolves for this also! God Bless the American Flag and you also for have the nads to stand up for it!!!

From a legal standpoint if there is nothing in writing prohibiting hanging the flag, then you have every right to do so. From a personal standpoint, we live in a free and democratic society, it is your own choice.

Hang the flag up. Tell them that you're offended by them not liking your flag.

Perchance do you live in Dearborn or Hamtramck, Michigan? We have the largest concentration of Muslims outside the Middle East. Many of them are not so fond of the US government, its President or its flag. One wonders why they live in the US???
