Epiphone is the name of a guitar manufacturer. Before being bought out by Gibson in the late 1950's, Epiphone was actually Gibson's main rival in the archtop market.

Steinberger refers to a series of distinctive electric guitars and bass guitars, designed and originally manufactured by Ned Steinberger. Steinberger is a subsidiary of Gibson.

Kramer Guitars is an American manufacturer of aluminum-necked electric guitars and basses in the 1970's and wooden-necked guitars catering to hard rock musicians in the 1980's. Kramer is currently a division of Gibson Guitar Corporation.

Which leaves Polecat as not a make of Gibson guitar.
