Yes it has. It has completely shifted the way the USA looks at international terrorism. Unfortunately, rather than address the underlying issues that allowed an unprovoked attack on the USA, our lives will be forever changed. The government is using a scattergun approach and our civil liberties are being diminished to avoid offending the feelings of the people who supported this horrendous act.

Far too long we ignored the warning signs building, and even censured Russia for their responses against acts of terror on their own soil. Whether a religion of peace has been hijacked, I still believe the Pope was correct in pointing out that 500 years ago an Eastern Emperor condemned violence. And yet simply by pointing out this fact at a academic meeting, the response has been more violence and whining and complaining and outrageous demands, and mischaracterization of his words, context and intent.

I have so many opinions and comments for this and have answered many.I think the best thing to have come out of this and helped us as humans was the fact that we seemed to know no racisim and it think it has gotten a lot better,I should know..I have beem married to both black and white men and my oldest son is bi-racial.I noticed that we came together as ONE nation under God and no one thought about the color of another's skin..we just worked as one to show our pride and love for our country. As for some other remarks(not so good ones) on this subject..It may be easy for some to forget and move on,but for most people I know and myself,we still mourn for the victims, the heroes and the families that have to live with their loss everyday. And I will admit that not a day goes by I don't think about them.As someone else said, We all thought we were safe here, and in reality we are not as safe as we should be! So I think we are more aware now more than ever as to the danger we could most certainly face again. We need to be and stay united as a country..And always work together as we did the day of and the days and weeks following that awful tragedy. A VERY PROUD AMRICAN!

I'll answer, but I'm afraid that I don't usually click on links so I didn't go look.

I think that we all learned many valuable lessons & not the least of which was that where there is tragedy, there we also find our neighbors & we discover that they are the real heroes, only we never realized it until after they were gone.

For myself, it makes me more conscious of just how precious life is & what happened makes me want to honor them by honoring my family, friends, & even those I meet on the street with kindness and compassion.

I've certainly learned to be wary and alert, & sometimes suspicious, but that is always tempered now by the realization that none of us are promised tomorrow. We must all do our best every day, & never forget to tell someone that we love them.

It is so scary. I always grew up just knowing that I was safe in my own bed, I mean, I just KNEW... but if a bunch of people who live in caves can trip us up THAT bad, just think what other countries could do.. We need to stay out of their business, and pray for the brave soldiers (people OUR age) who are over there fighting so that WE can be free, free of terror.

I think we should put our concerns , or at least as much effort into EVERTHING that we have lost countless lives to . For example smoking , cancer, aids , crime , drug addiction , drunk driving . Still I agree its sad we have yet to RESOLVE any of these issues including 9/11 . May all who cause these deaths be forgiven in the eyes of GOD .
May the politicians who bank on this event every year burn in hell!

If it went down as they told us thru the media, it was a completely horrible thing.
---------
that being said consider this:
What do you think different groups of animals who are murdered everyday think of a tragedy like 9/11 ? (Pigs , Chickens , Deer, Bulls, Sheep, Rabbits, etc. )

its not fair that people had to give their lives for the president to go to war and make money. He could have created another reason to go to war. one thing that came from this that was positive was that ALL races came together as one.
