I told my best friend I did not like him so he would start hanging with me again. but now I really do want to be with him. if I tell him that he may start avoiding me again, but I think he like me but is in denial. what should I do?

Leave things alone. If what he says is true, you going after him again would probably push him away. If he really is into you, then it'll happen on its own...nothing you can do about it. He knows how you feel, so he'll act on it as he sees fit.
Most everyone has said the same basic thing. Accept the friendship and move on, as hard as that can be.

I think you should stop playing games with people. Just be honest with yourself and stop trying to get other people to do things you want them to. All this drama is unnecessary.

Unrequited love, been there, not a happy place. Work hard on your friendship accept that your friend isn't into you, and find someone who is.
