I'm 25 ... and growing up in my house my dad was pretty strict ... I hated it when I was younger ... but he didn't let me date or even get into another guys vehicle before I was 16 or a Jr. in high school ... !
I look back now and thank him ... I see my little cousins running around town dating at 12, 13, 14 ... looking slutty ... acting like grown ups ... and trying to be cool ... I hate it ... the malls are filled with little kids making out and giving hickeys ... Wow ... how exciting ... !
Try not to worry too much about what other people get to do and not get to do ... be happy that you have parents that care ... and want what's best for you ... that's what's important ... !

dating can start around 13 by phone and school. I would limit age 16 as the earliest age for casual dating. Legal age is 18 but too many youths waste their knowledge peorid and focus on things they should not be doing other than school. In my opinion as long as you ride the bus, mama's got the cuffs!

My girlfriend had to be 16 before she could date also, but she couldn't wait and ended up goin' behind their back a little bit and dating a real loser. But, it's ok, she's with a cool guy now...me.
What I mean is that it sucks having that limit pushing down on you. In the case of my lady friend, I think it made her rebel a little bit, besides dating before she turned 16, she has never really broken any rules. So, good luck with your love life.
