Is it just me or is it all just mindless partisan quarreling?

Occassionally you'll see some good questions and answers. The rest of the time its like a cage match between Republicans and Democrats.

You are quite right. Any attempts at getting intelligent political dialogue going is thwarted by partisan rants and insults. I think that this is not the forum for good political discussion. I use the blogs for that. This is just a way to waste time though I had originally hoped for more. I also think that it keeps people in this forum right where some want them....apart.

I guess you haven't read through ALL the questions in the "Politics" section. Yes, there are some that are mindless, but not all. Some are actually quite astute.

Allot of it is, I agree but its questions that can be answered by anyone. I do see some serious questions also. I think too that allot of people are now just waking up to whats really going on and want to understand it. You and I need to help those people to gain knowledge and understanding. Once they have that, they're more powerful than any amount of money because maybe they will vote. By asking "silly" questions, they ask more poignant ones. "We" need to help anyone who asks. We dont have to agree with everything or disagree but we can give them a different point of view to think about.

It has come to the point that some people will only listen to what they want to hear so now instead of politics, it is the entertainment section.

You are right, not just you. I asked a real question I got 4 answers...had I added party bashing I would have had 30 answers.

Its not just you. At one time there used to be some serious questions now its just stupid bickering between parties, countries, etc.
