The PS3 will come out in the United States on November 17th and will cost 599.00 for the deluxe system. Only 400,000 will be shipped to the United States at first, so you had better get one while you can, with the shortages of the blue-ray players Sony has had to scale back its numbers of PS3. It does have the blue-ray DVD player and had hdmi ports for HDTV hook up. It comes with a 13-in 1 media card reader and wireless network card as well as blue-tooth technology. It will be backwards compatible with all old PS1 and PS2 games. It is based on two cell processors at 2.3MHz. It does instant messages as well as video and music and on-line game-play that will be free for all. it comes in two set-ups, the 60GB and the 20, the 20 will be less but does not come hdmi equipped or wireless, and they are not upgradable so you are good just getting the 60GB anyway. The graphics and the game-play will be state of the art, and the game-line-up is nice as well.

The PS3 is expected out in November, the cost with the hard drive is $599, and possibly $549 without. It is completly backwards compatable to PS1 (so it will play PS3, PS2 and PS1 games) It has the blu-ray dvd player, which is new technology and we are all wondering if it will take off. They have the features like wireless controlers and the such, all of the tech specs are not out. There are many sites you can go to and find out the latest information, but I don't even know if they are taking preorders yet.

November 11th.
There will be two version like the 360, and the more expensive one is the one to get:
$499 version (cheaper one)
- 20GB hard drive
- Component and composite outputs
- Wired controller(I think)
- Backwards-compatible with all PS1 and PS2 games
- Ability to play Blu-Ray movies
- Built-in Wi-fi connectivity
$599 version (the one to get)
- 60GB hard drive
- Double-HDMI, component, and composite outputs
- Wireless Bluetooth controller
- Backwards-compatible with all PS1 and PS2 games
- Ability to play Blu-Ray movies
- Built-in Wi-fi connectivity
Note: Blu-Ray players by themselves are roughly $1000, so the PS3 is a bargain because of its Blu-Ray playback abilities. And it has a built-in Wi-fi connection, so you can connect to your router at home and play online without a cord running from the PS3 to your computer. And the HDMI-outputs blow away the component outputs that the 360 has.

Lots of features. $599 (WAY too much for me, getting a Wii) November 17. Best to pre-order, only 400,000 in North America
