If they are white lumps and/or there is a sugar coating to its tail, chances are it has ick... look up blue spot gourami online and illness, and you should get the info that you need...

It could be Dropsy or Bloat. If this fish is by itself it's probably not preg, but more details are needed for sure.
Dropsy is treatable if caught very early, but if not - if it started to look like a pinecone with all it's scales puffed out - that's unfortuately the sign of organ failure and it will die.
Maracyn-2 is probably one of the best out on the market.
