if someone was found guilty of writing checks that were not theirs, and went to jail for about a week, and was forced to pay a fine and pension... then, pays the pension off, and about 3 months later, more bad checks start popping up from the past from before the person was convicted... will the person get in trouble again, and possibly more jail time? these new ones were 3 checks written at one store, and written at the same time all the other ones were... and it's not me, it's my friend... what would most likely happen?

Every time a check was written a crime was committed and the writer of the fraudulent checks faces prosecution for each check written. If possible you (or your friend) should attempt to make restitution to the store before charges are pressed. If this is not possible, be prepared to face similar results as the first ones.

check with a lawyer, i would say yes, but then i don't know the law about writting bad checks. maybe just pay the amount of the checks and fine or fines or maybe jail, or both. tell your friend to get a lawyer and get this cleared up and the DON'T DO IT AGAIN

good luck

Absolutely. If new additional checks come into play then yes, they will be charged for those as well. Not looking good for your friend I would say. It wouldnt be being charged with the same thing, that would be two seperate charges for the same thing.

If the victims want to press charges, or bring them to the attention of the prosecutor, yes, he could definately get more jail time. Actually, probably more than the first time, for habitual offender.
