Sushi and japanese food is excellent. Never ever bother eating stuff that is package/boxed i.e. from Marks & Spencer, Tesco etc!!!
The meat isn't slimy or that fishy if it is prepared properly. Even if you aren't too keen on raw fish there are always cooked sushi items. My personal favourite is soft shell crab rolls :P
Go to a japanese restaurant were there are actually japanese customers. They are fussy with their food so if they are eating there then it must be good! If you are in London then go to a restaurant near Regent Street called Chisou. The fish is absolutely fresh and if you sit at the bar will be cut and prepared right in front of you hygienically. Add a bit of soy sauce and wasabi and away you go!!

Sushi is wonderful. But you had better find a good place to try it. If you get bad Sushi you will hate it.
The most common American sushi item is called a California roll. It's crab, cucumber, and avocado. Rolled up in rice and topped with Salmon roe.
Don't worry the crab meat is cooked.
If you like that try a Salmon and cream cheese. That is pretty good. Then just get adventurous. You will get hooked. Don't be shy. If you try something you don't like just try something else quickly. hahaha. I as of yet I have never found any that I don't like. Good luck.

It depends whether you're having real sushie or stuff from the supermarket.
The Supermarket sushi is actually slightly cooked for health and saftey reasons.
Real sushie from a restaurant is really raw. Its not as bad as it sounds though, its actually very nice.
Go for it, you might enjoy.

Watch the Discovery TV channel for the one entitled Parasites, you will never eat sushie. It was on last night so it is probably still doing the rounds.

Not nasty. Ask your friends or read reviews online to find a good sushi restaurant, then give it a try.

* Tastes good if it's fresh. Would not recommend any less than fresh.
* Raw fish tastes fresh and easy to chew.
* There are so many types, you need to experience...apart from various fish you would also find squid, octopus, shark, roe eggs, crab eggs, eel, as well as veg sushi.
* Worth a try.

Its good! You may have to try quite a few things until you find what you like, start with something not really fishy like a california roll which has crab and avocado. yum!
