I wouldnt say things you hate...i would say addicted to things that are bad for us

Well, the addiction I just gave up at first wasn't something I hated, & I actually dont hate it I hate what it did to my life, but I am learning to understand it now.
Now I'm getting concerned about my new addiction, the internet and coffee. But agian I don't hate it.

Addicts may say they "hate" the items they are addicted to but in one sense they are not actually hating the stuff they are addicted to. They actually enjoy the feelings they get from using such substances, even though they know it is wrong and they should stop.
We may playfully say we are "addicted" to such things as video games and certain foods like potato chips, but we really aren't "addicted" to them... we just do it so often it is like being addicted.

Honestly I don't know. I hate my husband with a passion, and yet I can't get enough of him. He's a nice addiction though if you know what I mean. he he he

Not true, I hate spiders so I try to avoid them. I think we are more addicted to things that are opposite of us for the thrill that we aren't that. Of course, I hate the smell of cig breath, but I love it on one person...

I dont know, I quite like most of my addictions. I do wish that I could quit smoking but, I enjoy it. And, my diet coke, mmmmm very good stuff!!
