Yes it could be , I have dial up mine ain't that slow but you also need to clean your computer ... Go to your "START" button then Go to "ALL PROGRAMS" then Go to "Accessories" Then Go to "System Tools" then "Disk Clean Up " click on it and when you are done with that Go through the same steps but instead of "Clean Up " Go to "Disk Defragmentor " Sounds complicated but not , this should help clean your computer a little , If that dont help you have to much stored in your PC and you will have to Go to ADD & REMOVE Programs and remove what is not used . You should do this as offten as you can . The Defraging may take a few min so I would do that when you plan to not be online . Just copy this and follow the directions I gave you you will catch on I promise its easy !!

Dial up is the problem.I used it before and it is a slow headache. There is some good news though.DSL is getting cheaper.Mine only cost $20 per month and doesn't tie up the phone.Good luck.

Probably. You could have too much stuff on your computer too and you may need to do a disk clean up and a disk defragment, this can somethimes help dramatically. It's probably the dial-up though.

Also be sure you regularly defrag your pc. That'll will help speed things up.

I don't know how much RAM you have, but adding more RAM always makes things run faster. Last time I bought some a few months back it was 1GB for about $100.

dial up is slow, but you need to clean the cookies and temp internet files out as well.
These things can gum up a computer and make it run slow.

Yep... dialup is ancient, I wont even mess with a computer if it is on dialup. You should look into DSL, see if it is available for u, its almost as cheap as dial-up in some places, if not cheaper.

If you're not on dial up,which is very slow, perhaps you need more memory.
