So what EXACTLY do we stand accused of? Why do so many muslims want us dead?

It's not many, it's just some.
The stated aim of al Qaida is to resurrect an Islamic Caliphate governing the entire middle east.
They would overthrow the rulers of the holy sites - Saudi Arabia especially, except that the Saud Royal family is propped up by oil income from...US. (Osama bin Laden was imprisoned and exiled from Saudi Arabia for treason when he moved to Afghanistan.)
So attacking the west is believed to undermine the strength and support that we give to the Sauds and be standing in their way - that, of course and our more recent rout of the Taliban.
Saudi Arabia is home to the Wahhabi sect of Islam, one of the more fundamentalist and aggressive branches. Their money supports Al Qaida and their influence props up the Sauds - a real tight-rope walk there. One of the reasons we went into Iraq was to help the Sauds stay on the Wahabbi good side by taking our military base out of the holy (Saudi Arabia) land and putting it in the grateful Iraqi's country instead) - not working so well, that.
We did their work for them by overthowing Saddam - he was an enemy of theirs. Now they can operate in the open in Iraq.

But the average western muslim has no more to do with al Qaida than the average Christian does to Timothy McVey.

I'm sick and tired of all this intox spread all over the american news. If you care to sort the news, you'll see that EVERY DAY in yahoo there are some muslim news. And what's that all about?

Oh yeah, sure, we have to make one new per each dead and report every case of flag burning in muslim countries, because otherwise we would not be under constant fear. WHAT the press tells you is more important than HOW it tells you something.

If you pay attention only to the headlines, you will notice that there's at least one muslim headline every day. So, is that important? Does that tell you that Islam or the Muslims in general hate you and wanna see you dead?

As an exemple, imagine that the iranian press is reporting each day something real that happens in america. If this something is showing iranians how american people fear them, hate them blindly and want to nuke them just as you would destroy cockroaches, how exactly are you expecting them to react?

Speaking of Iran, it's called like that only since a handful of decades. Before, it was known as Persia, which - in case you don't know - is one of the oldest remaining civilization, renowned for its poetry, architecture and science. As they invented the Chess game (from the Cheikh, the king), and what is considered to be the first declaration of human rights (under Cyrus the Great), we might hardly call them barbarians, not without being unfair.

Think about it. War is easy to start, not to end.

The #2 Muslim terrorist in Iraq said to fight Americans and we interprete this to mean Americans in the homeland. But what he may have meant was to fight the US in Iraq to persuade them to leave. I do believe that if we gave the militants less to be pissed about then they would leave us alone. MOre than a billion Muslims worldwide and not all, only a few, are violent, militant, terrorists. Basically they don't like the land grab Isreal has done and how the US and other countries support Isreal. And the only reason we are interested in that region of the world is OIL. If, hypothetically, the Japanese made deals with the US government to chop down the US forrests and send the lumber to Japan, and in return Bush and his friends got rich and the rest of us got poor, then we would be pissed. Then say Polynesians take over the state of Washington and call it their country of Polynesia. The Japanese support this new country - Polynesia -- and keep buying trees from the Bush government so that Bush doesn't care about losing the state of Washington. So then people from Washington state, Idaho, Canada, Oregon, Montana, and Wyoming start bombing Japanese embasies, bases, and cities...

You have over-simplified the issue a bit. Not all Muslims hate Americans. Not all Muslims want Americans dead. There are radical Islamic sects which interpret the Koran to mean that infidels must be converted or killed. These people are bent on destroying the western world, but they by no means represent the whole of the Islamic religion.

The FEW that do want us dead do so because they are being brainwashed and manipulated to believe all sorts of crazy things. If you consider how a muslim leads their lives, we do come across as a bit scumy in our ways, and once this is exaggerated in the odd rogue mosque it breeds hatred.

Racism, people are so cruel at times, when they see someone different they dont know how to react of talk to that person, so they shout abusive language at them.
Then they get physcial all because of the way they dress or their religon.
The minority ruin it for the rest of us, who just want to learn and understand them, but because they are so racisted towards these people they have made it so EVERYONE is hated

Isn't it a disgrace? They live in our countries, work at our jobs and their children go to our schools.
They hate us so much and yet still want to be in our countries. What a joke.

We arenot Muslim, therefore we are"infidels". Basically we have to convert or die. Its all in the Koran. Im currently studying this religion for school.
