My parents have been married for 13 years. They are constantly fighting and never happy with each other. My mom is starting to concider a divorce and it seems like a really good choice right now. My dad is changing and the things he does...really irritate my mom. Such as drinking and smoking. And at the same time my mom is going out wit her friends and getting tattoos...acting like a woman her age should...which irritates my dad. I asked my mom if she would get a divorce from him and she said I dont know...not no... What do you guys think would happen?

Thanks in advance~~

In my opinion your parents should first consider marriage counseling. But if that does not work, I don't think anyone should have to live with someone if they are no longer happy. Unfortunately some relationships don't last forever and the best result might be a divorce.

I couldn't say what I think they will do but they've been married for 13 years. They're in a low spot, both feeling like maybe they missed something or that they're in a rut. If they would lighten up on each other and try to understand that everyone needs to have fun they will be ok. You can't expect to have that freedom and still be right in passing judgment on your spouse.

It sounds like your parents need to get away from each other before they do something that they regret.

It sounds like you won't be too heartbroken over this either. Are you in the middle of everything?? Any other kids that this might effect??

Just try to be supportive of both till they decide what they want.

Good Luck!!

I think that all this is adult stuff and you shouldn't have to be bothered with it. Whether or not they decide to divorce you should be left out of it. Concentrate on being a kid and doing kid stuff. Good luck hun.
