The Inn at Honey Run supposedly is a very nice place. Hard to get into.
You may want to try some of the State Parks: Salt Fork, for one
Atwater Park (not a state park) is equally nice.
If you like shopping, you can go to Amish Country in Berlin, Oh. Lots of shops and B & Bs. It's very touristy, thought. Great home cooking at the restaurants.
How are those ideas?

I grew up near Canton! Love Ohio.
You could drive over to Put in Bay. It is really fun. Parts of the island are all about party, but there is a winery and lots of quiet beaches.
I agree that Amish Country could be fun if you like the meat and potatoes and pie type of thing.
I also like Hocking Hills. You can rent a cabin there for pretty cheap and have a campfire! That's romantic. :)

Go to Cedar Point. Its only open on the week-ends now but its not as crowded. Then take the Jet express over to Put In Bay and spend the night in a cottage.

Well, Hocking Hills area is gorgeous and romantic. They have cabins you can rent in the hills. I just read that more & more people are getting married there. Lots of caverns, too. It's probably 5 hrs or so from you. I live in Toledo and it's a 4 hr. drive.

I don't believe I have ever seen the term 'romantic weekend' and the word 'Ohio' in the same sentence before. I didn't think it possible.

Honestly, why don't you just leave the state and drive to Virginia? You know their slogan "Virginia is for lovers."
