get some help first. If you can't get yourself to a gay pride center there are plenty of sites about queer youth. You definitely want some emotional back-up.

They probably already have a sneaky suspicion that your gay. Remember this, the people who turn their backs on you were not you friends to began with.

Make a shirt that says I'm queer and im here and put some pretty rainbows on it and wear it to school. Thats what I did. Good times goooood times.

Be honest with yourself and you will be able to be honest with other people. Your real friends will accept you for who you are and not for what you choose in life.

If you think they're gonna be assholes about it there's no real reason to come out at all, it's not like you'll be friends with (all of) them forever. friends come and go.
