Thanks everyone who responded. I believe your unhappiness is due to your own doing in most cases. Ask yourself this question, am I not happy because of what and could I have prevented? If yes, you'll find that most 90% of the misery is self-inflicted. So the good news is that you can prevent other problems in the future. Another misery is that we humans are brained washed to think that if we don't have that or this then we're miserable. It's the obsession of the need for attachment that causes misery. For example, you didn't get that job, or you didnt get that girl/boy or you didn't get that car. These are physical needs in which we are brained washed with, you'll know that everything physical is temporary and everything spiritual is permanent. I can go on and on but I'll leave it at that. I hope I gave you people a little room to ponder. :-)

Im 29 yrs. Id say a 3 - seems I take 2 steps forward and 6 steps back all the time. Same old stuff a lot of people have, divorced & back with parents, lack of self confidence, broke, don't know where Im going, no love life! On the plus side - I got some great friends which is why its as high as a 3 - but they are all coupled up!! Jees get the violins out!,

I guess it would depend on the day you ask me. I would have to say probably an 8 out of 10 and the two points lacking a ten would have to do with me and regrets about things I didn't accomplish and most likely never will. But my family members are great, husband and two grown daughters and one granddaughter. I am 54 going on 80 somedays, and 25 the next.

5 - 21 y/o - I chose 5 because I neither love nor hate my existence. I simply must deal with it . I'm content with the way things are.
