I have a 5 and 4 year old by this guy and we decided 2 yrs ago to leave each other alone.. my life wasn't keeping up with his. he wanted to party and i was being a mother. Now 2 years, and my own marriage later, I am finished with my husband and after much talk, my children's father wants to come back home. Now I am having problems with my husband about things that are nothing to do with their daddy. I think I am going to end my marriage. My husband says whatever will make me happy.. but in my heart I never gave up on my ex. Now he wants to come home to us.. and I can't help feeling torn. I love him. But it is different then the love I have for my husband. I feel closer to him because of my kids. My husband isn't as nice as he could be with them. WHAT TO DO? I want to be happy, and I want my kids to be happy..

No, u are not wrong for loving someone else, however, your ex is now wanting to come back to u...now that it's convenient for him. Your husband is feeling this way because it IS affecting him. Here u are, wanting to go back to your ex. U can't expect your husband to be exactly like their daddy. He isn't their real father and he is actually more than generous to let u go do whatever it is that will make u happy.
Of course this is all up to u but before making this kind of decision, think about it a million times if u have to. Just remember, your ex is an ex for a reason. U can't expect he will change for u, just because he now wants to come back to u.

Do whatever is best for your kids and yourself. It's not necessarily wrong that you still have love for your ex. but it sounds that when you and your kids needed him, he decided to party instead. Think things out, like who's more stable and dependable. Of course your husband doesn't treat them as nice as he should cause they aren't his children. I think if you get back with your ex. he'll stay around for a little while but when he realizes how much responsibilty it is having two kids he'll probably want to back out again. Be careful.

I think the answer to this is simply answered by the way that your husband treats your children. Why would you want to be with a man that does not treat your children respectfully at all times? This would not be a problem with their father. I believe that you need to do what is right for you and your children. Good Luck!
