Im hoping you arent aiming to gain sloppy weight, so heres in a nutshell, what you need to do to gain healthy muscle mass. You need to be eating 7-8 meals a day, this can include protein shakes/weight gainers, just keep them to a minimum of 3 out of the 8 meals you are consuming. Make sure these meals are healthy meals, full of protein. Cottage cheese, tuna, chicken, fish, lean beef contain lots of protein and should be apart of your everyday diet. Also make sure to eat your carbs before 7(Keep starchy foods to a minimum).Eat plenty of veggies and fruits(yams). Also, drink plenty of water, up to a gallon if you can. Depending on your body weight you need to be eating a minimum of 1.5-2.0 grams of protein per pound of body weight. You basically need to eat as much "clean" food as possible. Now, in order to really gain weight, you need to lift weights, and lift heavy. We could talk about lifting all day but im hoping you already know the basics of weight training, but if you dont, there are plenty of workout regimens available to you on the internet:

You can gain extremely quick if you do these things on a consistent basis---eat like a horse, lift heavy. This is the best most effective way, to gain healthy weight.
Heres some sources for supplements( you can find all of your weight gainers, protein shakes etc. here):

Start eating 6 smaller meals a day and having more snacks about 20-30 minutes after you eat your meal. Also I was informed when I lost a lot of weight to try supplement shakes with fresh fruit twice a day, and lots of protein. I gained 15lbs in a month, doing that.
Good Luck

Eat a well balanced meal everyday. You could spread out your meals to be 3 hours apart. That's what alot of body builders do. This way they are not overloading 3 x day but rather 3 hours apart. My friend who is into body building taught me that. I eat my meal every 3 hours in smaller portions. This way I am always not hungry. And include protein an carb in all your meals. No junk cars (sweets, cookies, chips) but good carb (whole grain stuff, brown rice, oatmeal, etc). Then of course you do a little body building to bulk up a bit. Start slowly though.

A person's metabolism won't allow them to gain weight sometimes. In most cases it will eventually catch up to you and you'll gain weight. Since I doubt you want to gain fatty weight, try bulking up. If you have a Smoothie King or Planet Smoothie nearby they have great tasting drinks with added protein. Try drinking one of those before working out and it will give your body the energy it needs to build the muscles.

Good luck.

It's likely that you're eating too fast. Try holding a conversation while wearing a meal so you're not necessarily gulping down more than you should feel full.
