Warm cream based soups do it for me everytime. Has something to do with the satisfaction nerves. There actually is something to the idea that turkey makes you sleepy (ever taken a nap after pigging out on Thanskgiving turkey?)
Actually, anything with trytophan in it will make you sleepy - so Grandma's warm milk before bedtime had a purpose (milk contains trytophan, and warming it up makes it active) - although some doctors say that warming the milk doesn't make a difference.

Oh great, trying to think of what food is the most sleep inducing I nearly fell asleep, I'm that inspired. So let's just say I can't remember, but I do know chocolate cake usually keeps me going for a while. Perhaps it's the lasagna I had (yawn)...

JoBu gets very tired if he eats fast food like McDonalds or KFC. Don't eat them all that often anymore so that might aid it even more. Thanksgiving dinner is the worst offender. Between drinking my rum and eating all that tryptophan, JoBu is unconscious within an hour.
JoBu is like cookie monster with chocolate cake too! AHHHMUMUMUMUMUM! ARGHGHH!
Anyway, Rum Shots sweet Luveniar!

anything that is rich or heavy, food made from large molecules are difficult to digest and so you use up a lot of energy for digesting. hence you get sleepy. for example, red meat, cake etc

Beef! Heavy meats require your body to work harder to digest them, so you'll always feel sluggish after eating them. So don't eat a big hamburger for lunch unless you have time for an afternoon siesta. McDonald's doesn't count though, since their burgers are tiny and I'm not convinced they're really beef.
