There is nothing really reliable. French of South-France and Italians have common physical traits (dark hair for example).
The only way to distinguish them is the language.

French seem plenty distinctive from the two, they have style of that mid evil seem. Spanish have and italian have extra suitable eyes yet confident i will tell all of them aside, spanish are extra tall and slightly extra overweight then italians lol And there accents are all distinctive

This is too easy.

The French are typically cowards that usually have a tail between their legs.
The Italians are hairy and it only looks like a hairy tail between their legs....and that's just the women.
The French smell like new urine since they pee themselves when in any danger, and the Italians smell like old urine since they pee themselves in their sleep from drinking too much.
