If you take your laptop to work, the IT people there will be able to give you permission to print. Many times, it's not as easy as just printing to an office printer, because there may be restrictions set by the Company or IT people. Best thing is to take it to work and ask to be able to do it. Shouldn't be a problem.

If it's your own printer at your own business office, you most likely would benefit from a third party software that lets you access a remote computer (XP Pro has one built in - but 3rd party ones, like MYPC are usually a little better - there's lots of other ones too).

network the printer to an ip address

then on the lap top click add printer/ click newtork printer/ add the one you just made a network for
