It was on our noon news program. I never really cared for her and her son has had a lot to deal with. I really feel sorry for her. Losing a child would not be easy. Just having a baby and then your other child dies, would be terrible mix of emotions.

An autopsy was performed Monday. On Tuesday, Her Majesty's Coroner Linda P. Virgill said that based on preliminary findings, "the cause of death is not natural." But, she said, "we wish to reserve [announcing] the cause of death at this time," adding that a toxicology results and a full autopsy report will be released by the end of the week.
Virgill said an inquest will take place afterward and her staff will interview all "relevant witnesses," including Anna Nicole Smith, hospital workers and flight attendants, to develop an official timeline.
The coroner's statements came in the wake of a story in the Nassau Guardian that Daniel Smith suffered a "massive heart attack" and that antidepressants had been found in his system. The newspaper said that Daniel was seen "vomiting uncontrollably" shortly before his death.
Police on Tuesday sought to downplay the Guardian report.

I am completely floored! To lose a child is tragic, but even worse on September 11th. He was only 20 years old. How could he have passed away? First Steve Irwin and now this?! The world is a really strange place. Apparently, they don't think that it was alcohol poisoning or drugs. I feel for Anna and her family, I am sure that they are devestated. I sincerely hope that the press gives her and her family the respect of private grievance in peace.

I agree. She wasn't too impressive, but no parent should ever have to bury their child. Such crazy things. The birth of her daughter should be such a happy occasion. To have a new baby, and to lose your only son at the same time would have to be so emotionally confusing and painful...I can't imagine how she'll cope.

I did read the article on Yahoo! today. It is really sad and I almost didn't believe it because the said her attorney was Howard Stern. Is that true?!

yes I heard about that , how sad , I really don't care about what Anna did in her past , as a stripper , then marrying a 100 year old man, but really no one deserves that , the death of her son...

this is so sad. he was way too young to die. i don't think they should dismiss drugs and alcohol as factor. i mean, he was a wealthy, young adolescent. so he fits the profile. i also think it was ironic that Anna had just given birth then her son passes away.

I never liked her too much, but that is so sad and with her just having a baby on top of that. I hope she and her family are doing well.

yeah that is crazy isn't it I wonder what her late husban's family says about that you know all they thought was that she was a gold digger and they wanted her to die well now she has a baby and then her son dies that is crazy I'm sure that will be all over the news today

That's so sad~ but they haven't said what really happened. And now is the worse time ~she should be so happy to have a new baby girl but now she has to be in mourning.
