Look on the net. Try struggles of a wheelchaiir bound adult or something similar. What would really help your paper is to interview a couple of people that are bound by a wheelchair. Perhaps you have a VA hospital in the area and ask the director if you could conduct a few interviews noting that you would maintain the utmost sensitivity for the individual(s) involved and ask if he knows of anyone willing to volunteer.

You may want to stop using the term wheelchair "bound" It's quite offensive.
Look on the net for info. There are some support groups for parents with disabilities.
