what is wrong with my childs "father"? stupid idiot got mad and broke my phone?

ok i need someone to attempt to explain this behavior. my childs father and i are not involved, nor does he make time for my kid. but he always calls but the convo mostly includes me and him not our child. most times i dont answer when he calls because we have nothing to talk about. he acts like he has rights to me or something. so he gets in his feelings when i dont answer or call him back. this weekend i went out with my bestfriend who just happens to be his first cousin. anyway he showed up and i wasnt paying that much attention to him. i was texting a friend. then he decides to snatch my phone and put it in his pocket. i told him to give me my phone. he wouldnt so i got up to leave the party and got into my car. then he comes out and i get out my car and demand my phone back. he starts screaming about me not answering when he calls and all i want is my phone so i can go home.he threw my phone across the street and it broke in half. now i have 2 replace it cuz he acted like a jerk

just a lil background here. my kis is 2 1/2. he hasnt been seeing her, i have 2 take her to him because he cant get off his behind and come see her. he'll call and tell me that he is coming over but he wont follow through. many times he stood me up so i got fed up and left it alone. im taking care of her w/o him so theres nothing for us to talk about.

oh i forgot to mention that hes never blowed up at me before but since i havent been taking his calls he has gotten a little nasty with his messeges.

he is very jelous person keep ignoring him but try to keep your distance as far as he child tell him he can keep you child someone else other than your house because i see yall cant be in one room at the same time and tell him that he act like he dont have a responsiblity and like he never made a child by you so he will never get no respect from you thats why you are going to continue to act the way you do
