well my boyfriends got drunk and he told me that he was embarrasst of me cuz i am fat then he told me he did not mean it he said that his cousin made him say it

Booze does seem to be the instant truth serum! If he said it, it certainly wasn't because "my cousin MADE me do it!" Yeah right.....you don't hurt someone you care about because of a dare. Get him drunk again and ask him how he really feels!

When males get drunk, they lose inhibitions (if any), control, and their ability to speak coherently. They also lose all logical functions (if any to begin with), some memory, and of course, all ability to be subtle in any way.
Some people attain a level of "comfort" when under the influence, so shy people sometimes become less so, and quiet people sometimes can't shut up!
If your boyfriend called you "fat" and said he was ashamed/embarrased by you being "fat", but then came back later to place the blame on his cousin, something fishy this situation smells like....
I mean it is possible his cousin put him up to this, but at the same time, I cannot shake off the feeling that he was trying to take back what was already thrust upon you. So in this instance, it "FEELS" like he was being truthful, and realising how truth can sometimes hurt, did his best male interpretation and placed the blame on his cousin.
No offence, but he doesn't deserve you. If something as trivial as physical appearance will "embarass" him, then he is but a shallow and selfish individual who puts importance in temporary material things. You desrve better; you deserve someone who will love and appreciate you for who you are, not for the image you must project due to physical limitations.
And if I may say so, there's nothing wrong with being "fat". As a matter of fact, "fat" women are more often than not much hotter and desireable than the anorexic brand! There, I said it, and I hope I didn't shock you!

Um, what did his cousin put a gun to his head and force him to say it? Wow. That sounds like a huge load of crap. At least he could have come up with something more original. I would drop this guy and find a guy who is proud to be by your side! Yes, sometimes the truth does come out when your drunk, but sometimes you get too drunk and say things you don't mean or can't remember. Depends on how much you've had to drink.

I wouldn't be able to justify my boyfriend insulting me while either drunk or sober. Seems too many times jerks will use their boozing as an excuse for whatever they do. Does the truth come out? Yeah. They just turn around the next day and blame any mistakes they make on the drinking.

Unfortunately, people tend to speak their minds when they've had a few. I don't buy the cousin angle because if he didn't want to say it he would not have- you can't force even a drunk person to say something they don't want to. And as for the weight comment--I would recommend losing as much weight as possible and when your boyfriend approves- tell him to take a powder and find another guy!

No the truth doesn't always come out when you are drunk... maybe if you are a total lightweight and never drink, but once you get any kind of tolerance at all you learn how to keep your mouth shut...
So in your boyfriend's case, I would say he is full of crap... "his cousin made him say it"? Give me a freakin' break....

Some people have been known to abandon all common sense when they are drunk. It definately makes you less inhibited and therefore looser with what you say. NOT always the truth mind you but more of what you really think right or wrong.

Yes he probably did mean it. Seriously we all have physical and emotional defects that our partners say don't bother them, but c'mon, we don't all look like movie stars. Do YOU think he is the most gorgeous guy in the world? I'm sure there is at least ONE thing you would change about him (taller, more athletic, more hair, whatever) but you don't normally say this to him because you love him. Well, it's the same for him. You probably could lose a few pounds but he doesn't say so to avoid hurting your feelings.

Ouch! I guess that answer would depend on if your fat. Sometimes people say things that are not the truth when they're drunk. Sometimes people tell the truth when they're drunk and then lie about it later.

yes I got to say people always tell the truth when they have had way to much to drink. but they can come out with it the wrong way some times men can't tell you what they want with out hurting your feelings. I am sure that he loves you and will be feeling bad listen I am over weight too you are what you are has long has you have your health who gives a s...... big people can have fun too and have more to hold on too. some people can be cruel please don't let this get too you it's not worth it trust me no one is perfect
