why is is we are stupid enough to spend $100,000 to put a tail on a dolphin ,but not willing to help the children in out own country

Why do we spend so much to fund projects that are not of any help to people like the artist's "Jesus in pee" and not take care of those starving in our own country?
It is because others needs are not important to many as long as they live in comfort.

for the same reason Mrs. Smith drove her two babies into a lake and a dog in NJ barked and pulled on her chain until it broke and she was able to dig up her puppies that her owner had buried in a plastic bag....
