This worked for me. Have a good soak in a warm soapy bath. Prior to filling your bath, drop in a cap-ful of detol / anti-bacterial fluid. During you bath, use a gentle brush (or toothbrush) to remove any bacteria in the itchy area. Do this every night before you go to bed. I also reduced my chocolate and sugar intake. In addition, I also drink a lot more warm water during my day.
