If your budget allows, Coast is great for wedding outfits. Even if you don't buy there. it might give you more of an idea what you're looking for.

The usual dress code for a wedding is nothing white/creme, and usually a summerdress/evening dress is good for the church/ day, or a two piece outfit. Something smart but alittle more casual for the evening.
To wear black trousers you need to match your shoes with you top, colour and texture, match your bag to your pants or go for a contrasting colour. Wearing pants and a top means you have to pick a material that is beautiful, so go for silk or cotton.
Don't go for anything outrageous or any bold prints as it takes eyes away from the bride Go for simple elegance.
I suggest Marks and Spenser, Next or Zara. They all do superb evening clothing ranges. If they are too expensive George (Asda) has an amazing bridal range in its larger stores and always does beautifully elegant yet simple tops in many varieties to match your body shape.
Have fun at the wedding and remeber nothing over an ince for shoes as the only thing that will be concerning you is the fact that your feet hurt. If you go higher get some silicone party feet, their five ponds in Boots.
And remember don't wear the same colour as the bridesmaids or the mother/mother in law.

Have you been invited to the ceremony, weddding breakfast, evening do or combination of two or more?
For ceremony and / or wedding breakfast:
Assuming it is an autumn wedding it would be normal to wear a lounge suit with tie (pale colour tie) for a man or morning suit if it is a posh do.
For a lady I would suggest smart dress and jacket / coat or smart trouser suit. Hats always look good at weddings! A small bag is best and shoes that look good with the outfit but are comfortable to stand in for a couple of hours.
In the UK what about Next, TopLady, Selfridges, John Lewis, Debenhams or a smaller local shop? You could look online for ideas as well.
Evening do
What you would normally wear for a posh night out with a new boy / girl friend - smart and new!

Smart black trousers works well with a glitzy top - something with sequins maybe? shoes to match the top (colour) and bag to match trousers. I'm a bay trading junkie but top shop, debenhams and next all do some really nice stuff. George at Asda and Florence and Fred at Tesco are good if you're on a budget too.

Helz, you should know not to ask this question knowing the kind of wicked people on yahoo answer. Well i'm going to be civil with you and give you a nice answer.
Now are you a show off? Do you like to be the centre of attention; Pamela Anderson type. If you want to divert attention from the wedding wear a white see through flowery blouse with a silk long skirt Wear a white hat and dark reflective glasses.
GIRL, you're gonna drop them dead.

hmm well animal print is in so how about a subtle zebra print top - ha ha I know its a bit of a crap shop but in Peacocks they have a really nice long zebra print boob tube for £6 that you could team with some nice silver or white jewellery to bling it up and some round toed peep hole shoes (try New Look for cheap ones they have some great stuff- sorry am a scabby student so I do it cheaply at the mo!) ;-)

I recommend a dress or skirt instead. It's a bit more dressy for an occassion like a wedding. I also recommend visiting www.breezybeachwear.com for a pretty silk flower hair clip or jewelry item
