There are a lot of them start with McAllen, Texas and all around .
Try newspaper www.themonitor.com that is from McAllen.

Texas Parks and Wildlife website. We go to Fairfield State Park south of Dallas about 80 miles. Lots of wildlife and normally a nice lake. Lake is low now and very warm due to the power plant use. Peaceful setting with nice views.
