I think honesty is always a good policy. Pick a time that you and your parents can sit around the family table and have a nice discussion. Keep your conversation at a very calm level and explain how you feel about yourself. After all they love you and I am sure they will sit calmly if you stay calm and they will listen to what you have to say.

You have to do it when your ready, I never told my mom, she just knows. Trust me a mother knows, especially from the company you keep. she will eventually ask you, and that will be your opportunity. Good luck!

do it only when the time feels right...sit them down and just tell them..you may be surprised how easy it is once you set your mind to it.
