Do I need to replace my keyboard? Its so stron the minute it opens up...I am truly embarassed.

Some say it is the glue on the underside of the keyboard. Whatever it is, it is pretty strong. Is there anything I can spray on there that will rid the keyboard of that awful smell?

It's most likely the plastic is simply outgassing. It goes away over time.

It's probably not glue because most glues used for plastics are normally solvent based and the solvents evaporate quickly.

Believe it or not, it's the same process you smell in a new car. It's just different types of plastic.

Leave the PC open when you can. It will help it to "air out". When it's closed the odors are held in and that is why it's strong when you initially open it up.
