No, nor do you even have a higher chance of needing a c-section. Your exterior dimensions have little to do with your interior dimensions. My former boss was about your height and 100 pounds soaking wet; she had two 10 pound+ babies vaginally and a co-worker who is only 4'9" also carried her pregnancy with no problems and gave birth naturally. My sister, who is a "sturdy" gal of 5'6" had two c-sections because although her pelvis appeared wide from the outside, the entrance to her birth canal was too small. Somebody pointed out that Asian women tend to run on the petite side and they carry pregnancies successfully every day.

The average hight for a woman is 5' 2". Up until recent decades women and men were both well under 6 foot.

You have no higher chance of miscarriage. Thats silly.

I am wondering what makes you thing that you have a higher risk than everybody else to have a miscarriage?Just because you are petite, it does not gets you into a higher risk. You are at risk if you would take any medications, Drugs or you would drink a lot of alcoholic beverages. But just because of your height and your weight doesn't make you to have a miscarriage

I am myself only 5'3 - 110 lbs. We are in our correct weight, but unfortuately it does put a lot of strain on our little bodies to carry so much weight. And that does increase the possiblity for a miscarriage. I had one, a few years ago, but I was only 98 lbs then, so now that I have gained weight I am trying again. You just have to take care of yourself, don't get stressed out, you will be fine. Good luck

Everyone is diff, but I was pregnant several years ago and lost my child due to the fact that she was just too big. She was about two weeks over due and by the time I had gone into labor, they said that she had gotten the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and she had tied it into a knot. During my pregnancy one could have sworn I was carrying twins. Im not trying to scare you, but the next time my husband and I (whom is 6ft by the way) I plan on going to a high-risk doctor. I think as long as they monitor you more closer than average women, you should be okay. I also did not have a very accurate date of conception. Make sure they don't let you go passt your due date. Let me know how everything goes. Good luck to you and your family.

Not because of your size, if that's what you are worried about. I was a little under five feet tall, and barely weighed 92 lbs, both times that I got pregnant. First baby was 6 lbs 13 oz., second was 7 lbs. Congrats to you.

I wouldn't think so. Many petite women have healthy babies. I am a little smaller than you, and I had a very healthy pregnancy, and an almost 6 lb. baby girl! I only gained 16 pounds my entire pregnancy. Good luck, and congrats!

No, your chances of miscarriage are the same as any other woman. I'm sure your Dr. will know and do everything in his power for you to have a pleasant birthing.
