Clematis is a favorite of mine because they can be used in so many ways, and since they are vines, can grow up to use space above when in a small yard . They come in many colors and forms and I've used them in pots, climbing over dead tree branches, on any kind of trellis, with roses, and I haven't seen a combination I didn't like.

There isn't a flower I don't like, but it's hard to beat a Dutch iris. My favorite thing to say about a Dutch iris is that if you didn't believe in God before, you would after carefully examining one. The other flower that never fails to make me smile is the sunflower. They are always cheerful and happy.

Carnations. I'd rather get a boquet of carnations than a couple dozen roses. Of course, I usually have to buy flowers for myself, so its not a problem to get what I like! lol
