Yahoo itself provides a service called GeoCities which allows you to do this. It gives you 15 megabytes of space for uploading stuff. Another commonly used website is freewebs.com, you could try that if you like.

I use geocities just because it was big a while ago. Now I think you'd probably want to check some of the other sites out.

I use www.freewebs.com. As well as being free, it's also very quick to set up, easy to use and looks very professional, especially for someone who doesn't understand html properly like me! Apart from that, good online blog sites include windows live spaces and www.blogspot.com.
