I think that he is an excellent judge of talent. He knows his stuff, he knows what he's talking about. I think that he's intelligent, and somewhat egotistical because of that, he has very little patience. I think most of his observations, while often too bluntly said, are spot-on. It's the reactions to it that are amusing.

Simon Cowell Is Great....
He Really Is A Genuine Guy
Just Because Someone Tells Them There Honest Opinion It Doesn't Mean Hes A Jerk, Arrogant, Nasty, Up His Own Backside....
But The Fact Of the Matter Is He Tells People How It Is. They Always Say The Truth Hurts....lol......
Hes Only Doing His Job At The End Of The Day, That Would Be Like Someone Telling You That Your A Jerk For Doing Your Own Job......
(Maybe They Do....lol)

I'm not much for Simon's personality but he tells people like it is. But in a business that costs so much to maintain, you can't sugar coat things and he doesn't.

There's no point in leading people on to think they have talent when in the long run they're just going to end up wasting a lot of money and time that could be spent on someone who can really do that job.

I think a lot of people were shocked at his direct approach initally, then they started tuning in just to watch his cutting remarks.

Now though when I watch I find that Simon's is the only opinion that anyone auditioning is interested in. No-one listens to Louis as he is such a washout and when ever anyone is on the fence as to whether they will get through they resort to begging with Sharon because she is such a push-over.

In my view, the wannabees should only get through if it is 'Yes' from all 3 of them.

Whilst Simon is a genuine bloke who speaks his mind and tells the truth, at certain times he is a little hard on people who don't really deserve it i think this is why he is hated so much.

I agree with mostly what Simon Cowell says. He does say it harshly but most of it true. Why sugar coat it and leave people belieiving they can one day be great when all in all they should try to move on to something better for them.

I think SIMON is genuine , but who told some of the people taking part that they could sing , and I also think that once the judge's have made their decision there should be no pleading to be allowed through

I agree also. I watch it because of the ones who dress up, are so serious and are dire. Simon Cowell could not be more blunt. Their faces when hes says "you were the worst ever on this show..."
Der...me, bud I fort I was da bestest X-facter...uh!
Excellent viewing the early rounds...

I think Simon is the only one doing the job correctly! yeah it might come over as cruel, but he's only being honest... most people on that show are so deluded anyway, their faces are classic when Simon comes out with the truth..........
