I noticed that you folks believe that i am getting my work done the easy way however, I am checking my answers. Perhaps I should have asked in a different way. here is the answer that I got and the explaination to one of the posted questions if anyone can tell me if it is right I would apprciate it.

Solve the linear equation for –y. This will put the equation in slope- intercept form. Then find the slope and the y intercept of the line with the equation.

2x+9y=0

Subtract 2x from both sides.

2x-2x+9y=0
9y=-2x+0

Divide both sides by 9 for y.

Y=

The slope is 18/18 the intercept is 18/18

Im sorry If you brains are offended.
I go to school online and there is no one that I can ask, so I thought that I'd reach out.

9y=-2x+0
dividing by 9
y=(-2/9)x+(0/9)
slope=-2/9 and y intercept=0

This part is right...
2x-2x+9y=0
9y=-2x+0

After dividing both sides by 9, you'd get:
y = -2/9x

thus the slope is 2/9, and the y intercept is 0.

How did you come up with 18/18 for slope and intercept (I'm not condemning, just asking).

As to people getting offended and being mean-spirited, ignore 'em. This is supposed to be a forum for homework help - my rule of thumb is that I ignore people who post a slew of questions at once, or they ask incomplete questions that are incomprehensible.
