Take them to a park to play on the equipment: swings, slides, jungle gym, etc.

I don't know what area of the country you live in so I am going to let you know what we do here in the south. Play with a ball, dig in the dirt, make mudpies, lay in the grass and find animals in the clouds. Play with riding toys.

Soccer is an easy fun way to tire your kid out :P Seriously it's cheap and easy to play. Buy a ball and you can use just about anything as goals.
