To me a soul mate is the person that knows what you are thinking before you say it, finishes your sentences and ultimatley loves you no matter what happens. I found mine 12 years ago and I married him 10 years ago. Never had any regrets because he is my soul mate.

I used to believe in soul mates. I loved the idea of everyone having one person in the world that was perfect for them. And when you're with someone that makes you feel complete, someone that knows your every thought and even finishes your sentences, there's nothing like it in the whole world that feels better than that. Now I'm not so sure anymore if such a thing exists. It's what people say when they're in love and everything's rosey but what do you call it when it all goes to sh_t and you're alone? Okay, got a little carried away for a moment, sorry.

A soul mate, is someone that knows your every thought before you open your mouth, he knows what you mite want for dinner, he knows what you like to wear out and what makes you comfortable.He knows what makes you mad and tries his hardiest not to. He loves you even if you gain weight or loses it. He knows when something isn't quit right with you . You can't keep secrets from this person , he will know that your holding back. You will love this person unconditionally, and you will fell the same about him. That man happens to be my husband, When i first mate him, i thought that we would be friends, never in my wildest dreams that i would end up with him after five years of dating. That was 13 teen years ago, and we make love every night, so we're still going Strong.

I don't think we have a soul mate in this life, but in Heaven we have a soul mate, which is the other half of us. On Earth we have Kindred Spirits, people who are alot like us and that could be your sister, brother or best friend, not necessarily a lover. However, for me I have met a kindred soul and he is my lover.

A "soulmate" is supposedly someone you feel extremely comfortable with, who knows you almost as much as you do yourself. They are your balance as much as you are theirs. You compliment each other (as in you fit together like puzzle bits).
This has nothing to do with initmacy or any "sex" relationships. They are not always the person you will marry or become your spouse... this soulmate could be your best friend (of the same gender even), or even one of your own children. You can even have more than one soulmate.
