advertising on tv good or bad/driving you mad?

when you see an advert on television do you decide by the quality of the ad wether you are going to bother with buying the product advertised, for example if i think an advert is terrible, i dont go anywhere near the product,or company thats featured in the ad, there are a number of ads here in the uk that i think should not be shown i.e the halifax/sheilas wheels and the accident claims helpline to name a few,what ads drive you mad

What a good question!!I must be honest, I really dislike the adverts. I know they have to show them and I know it`s all done on this jingle thing(if there is a bad jingle,people usually remember the ad!!)but, they are soooooooooo annoying!!!!

I would rather pick up the phone book or look in the shops and decide for myself............

most painful are the ones that show some new drug and great benefits, then at the end they show the side effects. Most of the time, the side effects are worse than what the drug is intended for use. I enjoy automobile, fashion ads. I also try beat the ads by skipping channels and i think most do. These days however most of the programs have ads at the same time. Even the weather channels :-)

I just ignore most commercials
It doesnt affect me
My faves are the cottonelle doggie and the Geico ones

those Lawyer Help Lines have horrible ads so I wold thinkif they don't have enough compitence to make a good ad why would I trust themm with my case

Soemtimes, I just ignore them unless it catches my attention (which it rarely does). I really like the Hefty bag commercials because the way they say "Wimpy Wimpy Wimpy Wimpy" makes me crack up because it sounds like little mice were saying that.

the subliminal ones annoy me. tv should be banned it is all one big commercial break and they all annoy me
