it could be the loss of your mother and the fact that you just had a baby. You might have what they call "baby blues". You need to make sure that you talk to someone about this. Post-partum depression is a serious matter. I would go talk to your doctor asap. Good luck and I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

I have used the Depo shot before as well. I do not remember feeling depressed but that may be a symptom. How old is your baby? It could be that your are experiencing "the baby blues" or even postpartum depression. It may not be either of those, it may be because your Mom died. It is completely normal to feel depressed after loosing someone close to you. I am very sorry for your loss. I know what is is like to lose someone that you love. My Dad died six years ago, so I understand the pain and depression that you are feeling. If I can help you in any way, please feel free to e-mail me. My e-mail address is haritos02@sbcglobal.net. I hope everything works out for you.

The depo never affected my emotions once I started it. You may have post-partum depression, and you are definitely having issues because you lost your mother so soon after having your baby. Check into getting counseling for it all. You will be okay, you just need a very good support system!

it may be partially the Depo Shot! I was on the shot before and felt terrible the whole time and was lightly bleeding the whole time i never had a regular period, i lost weight and felt tired and wore out the whole time. for 6 months to a year i was like this and started feeling normal and finally got a normal period after getting off the shot. this was the worst birth control i ever took.

I was on the depo shot for about 5 years. at the same time i was also on prozac. i was a mental case. i hated sex. i hated my life. i hated my bf. i was just a mean person. i think that depo puts a dark cloud over everything. with the lose of your mother, it just made it worse. talk to you dr about other alternatives. i switched. if you are breastfeeding you don't have a lot of options. but if you're not I would suggest loestrin, i had the lowest amount of side effects with this pill. i also liked nuvaring, but it raised my blood pressure. depo also made me gain a lot of weight. you really should talk with your doctor. as soon as i was off he depo, i felt so much better!

It could be the lost of your mother and post-partum depression. This is usually temporary(ppd.) But you may still want to get a second opinion from your doctor. You should also talk with your loved one and let him know how you feel before he may feel confused and doubtful about your relationship.

Or post-partum depression. I know my gyn. would not put me on the Depo shot b/c I have a history of depression. I would talk to your Dr. about seeing a counselor for PPD.

sounds like the loss of your mother and postpartum depression. also you will have some changes with the depo..

but that shouldn't last long. it sounds like you just ahve alot of things going on at once.
