I get so sick of the media and all of their hoop lah. I definitely agree with honoring the dead and all of the heroes, but they seem to take it to a whole new level. They want us to re live it and stir up all those emotions again. The media doesnt even address the main feeling that went through our minds and souls after the attascks which were anger, hatred and the need and want to rip someones ******* head off. They have no balls.

Absolutley!! The media is definitely over exaggerated sometimes, but they definitely help us remember. Sometimes we need to remeber those feelings to keep us in perspective. Not only was there hatred and anger, but there was also a great pride and sense of love for our country right after the attacks. Where has that gone? What happend to the pride and unity we showed right after 9/11?

We must never forget!!!

"I definitely agree with honoring the dead and all of the heroes, but they seem to take it to a whole new level."

--I couldn't agree with you more. But you know there's super-ubber-patriots out there now that Bush successfully confused the 9/11 attack with justification for invading Iraq, so there are plenty of people involved with the media who have a pro-war agenda that requires more fear mongering than would be the case had the U.S. not started a war in Iraq. So, no, I don't think the "coverage" of the 9/11 five-year anniversary will be anything like "appropriate." It will be sensationalized, overly-dramatized, politicized to the extent of a pro-war rationale, and more reason for a deep division between liberals and conservatives.

The media has not gone overboard with news coverage today. Too many people have forgotten what happened and too many have forgotten that we did not start this whole mess. I pray for the survivors and for our government today. I pray for our great nation today. May the Lord watch over us and keep us and grant us peace in our hearts.

I personally believe the media has gone overboard with coverage of 9/11.

This is exactly what Bush wants. He wants us to get angry enough and support his agenda.

Well, since Bush's whole agenda is based on keeping Americans in fear, it is appropriate that the media who are owned by major corporations that are getting huge tax breaks replay it over and over.

Why don't they give equal time to the OKC bombings To Viet Nam? To the Holocaust?

BY EVERYONE OF THE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT IS REAL STILL TODAY. AND AS BEAUTIFUL AS LIFE IS WE MUST KEEP REMEMBERING. THAT THERE ARE FOLK OUT THERE THAT DON'T WANT US IN THERE WORLD AND WILL DO ANYTHING, HAVING NOW REMORSE FILLED WITH NOTHING BUT JOY AND ADRENALINE. TO DESTROY NOT BUILD.
