I normally don't listen to a lot of radio, but noticed over the weekend that the format of the station is now dance music. When did this happen? Anyone got the skinny?

6 or 7 days ago...They play everything now...If you don't like one song you will like the next...I think a new company bought them out...But they are really up beat now...It's not all dance either, only about a quarter..

THE RIVER RUNS DRY: Fans who tuned into what they thought was going to be 101 The River today were surprised to find a whole new format had taken over. Bonneville International, which owns the station, launched a new concept -- MOViN 101.1 -- at 11 a.m. Bonneville says it is the "first rhythmic AC in St. Louis," and describes that as a blend of adult rhythmic hits from today, the 80s and 90s, and a sprinkling of classics. The musical lineup will include current stars such as Alicia Keys and OutKast; older artists like Janet Jackson, Prince and Madonna; and classics by artists such as Barry White, Marvin Gaye and Earth, Wind and Fire. Bonneville's regional senior VP is Drew Horowitz; the St. Louis market manager is John Kijowski; Jules Riley, currently program director at 106.5 The Arch, will also oversee programming for the new station.
