The Colour Purple - How people can treat someone like that is beyond my recognition, both in the slavery sense and the spousal abuse.
The Notebook - would absolutely adore to achieve that kind of relationship
What's Love Got to do With It - Tina Turner's struggles make every woman stand up and take notice on how to become successful under extreme circumstances
Jarhead - Anyone who has a teenager who thinks war is "cool" or plays violent video games should watch this movie and with their kids

REQUIEM:FOR A DREAM this movie is very deep, very in your face, like giving you a tour through the worst parts of different peoples lives--this movie is a constant reminder that addiction is a horrible monster in any form whether it be drugs, money, or trying to fit in---everything out there can easily turn into an addiction and I think everyone should watch this movie--keep in mind that it is about addictions--ALSO the music score is incredible very moving a powerful the music definatley makes this movie, the sorrow, the pain, the lost lives of those poor people...go see it now

- Jurassic Park, because that was the first movie I saw in surround sound....and the sfx were so great for the time, I thought, it's only gonna get better...
- The Life of David Gale - such a powerful story, gives me chills to this day thinking about it....
- Raiders of the Lost Ark and Stargate - loved them both so much, and they profoundly affected my career choice...
- The Village - made me finally fall in love with Joaquin Phoenix
- Caddyshack - I quote this more than any other movie in my day-to-day life...
- Rushmore - the first of Wes Anderson's that I saw, and I thought it was just genius...
- Fargo - first of the Coen Bros. I saw, and haven't looked back..
- Half-Baked - considering I watched it three times a week at one time, I think it impacted me in many subtle ways - Butternuts!
- The Yards - because the director got a certain somebody to take his pants off for half a minute...James Gray rules in my book for this reason alone....
yeah, you're right about Fight Club, too....wanted to punch Brad Pitt in the teeth after that one...

I cried when i first saw "A Walk To Remember". I found the movie to be so incredibly touching, that in a world of superficalites, they got beyond that and could find love that conuqers all (even in high school). I was really sad to find out she died in the end. The movie has really impacted me in a sort of way that not to overlook a person because of how they look, what they believe in and how they contribute to society.. Mostly just to look beyond the bigger picture.

Patch Adam and Edward Scissorhand.
Patch Adam is a doctor which makes every one happy but at ther middle soemthing horrible happen to him that make him very down but soemwhere somehow he stand up again and continue his mission that make me want to be him. no matter how situation is you must have the courage the step forward to go on.
Edward Scissorhand .
from waht i sasw in Johnny Depp's eyes, man he is one great actor, he dosen speak but he let his eyes do the talking and his movement give the sign of love to the gal what he did is nobel, he gave everything but no one saw that they just saw a freak and lastly he went back to castle but still the gal misses him with the memory they had. for me this is like a reality lovestory. in fairy tales we always know the pronce and princess will live happily ever after but what is a ordinary guy who love a gal which he dosen a single chance to date her? it sad but well it just a movie, we watch and felt emotion in it.

The Matrix, at the time it was such a mind-blowing concept, and I wasn't the only person to feel slightly uncomfortable in my reality. Trinity, and other strong women leads, like Selene from Underworld, and Aeon from Aeon Flux, make me want to don a corset and catsuit and go on the hunt for, well, whatever is out there for the hunting!

We were Soldiers with Mel Gibson. I am a Marine Wife and I know how the wives feel on that show and when my hubby is deployed my biggest fear is he won't make it home. I can't watch the movie anymore, it is just too sad and hits to close to homeâ¥

Biodome---I've never witnessed a more profound, life altering motion picture. The artistry and pageantry of this epic will be on the lips of generations to come, as it is a stunning tribute to the human spirit and will to achieve.
I admit I cried.
