I feel like my life is just washing away ive got nothing to look forward to, I started college this week and feel like im not going to make new close friends and be on my own for the whole time im there i feel like quiting but i know i shouldnt because i do want to make something of myself. College is a big change, you are probably really scared about that, it sounds like it's turned itself into depression. It is really normal to be scared starting college. Don't worry, you'll do fine in school and you'll make new friends. Pick one club that interests you and join it, you'll meet new people. Also in your classes, you'll connect with some people there too, join a study group or start one. You'll be OK, it's actually a really exciting time for you, you have your whole life ahead of you...relax and enjoy it!

College is the best time of your life to make friends. If you are 16, I don't know about getting drunk, but your decision. There has to be other people in your dorm with the same interests as you. Try joining a club or going to school sponsored events. Most colleges put on a ton of these for people w/ all interests.

Hang in there.I have been where you are at.Forget about going out and getting drunk! You will have plenty of friends. I am positive. You have to remember that there are so many good things out there. If you give up now? Well tomorrow could be the best day of your life so far and you would have missed it.You won't know the good times unless you have been thru the tough ones. You'll do great!

I felt like that when I was in college. You should find people who do the things you like. I recommend getting involved in various clubs and try getting on some sports teams. That way you will be able to meet people with interests close to your own, and it will give you ways of going out and socializing without constantly going to movies and dinners. It will also make you many new friends.

Good luck :)

Sweetheart, when you put out negative, all you get is negative in return. Let all this negative go, you're done with it as of now.

Meditate, relax, get in a happy place in your head, and look for the positive in all you see and do. As that radiates out from you positive things will come into your life. New friends, new situations. Happiness. Positive thoughts, gratitude for the good things, no thought or time wasted on the negative people or events.

Have you ever got out of self and just hung out with nature? Many times life gets hard for me as I am homeless and when it dose I turn to the outdoors and the wild animals. I could also sugest that you get a puppy as puppy love fills your spirit with hope. I hope you feel better real soon. Put a smile on your face and walk in the sunshine of life.

STOP!!! You are going to drive yourself and possibly a lot of other people crazy if you don't just relax a little. There is so much to do in life you have to just get out and do it. College will be a great experience with lots of new friends and new interests. Just calm down.

Calm down your mind and try to recollect the moments which you enjoyed most, perhaps some times when u were of outstanding perfomace, or just some moment when u were incredible, capitalise on those and try to see at as it was gonna happen again.

If there are certain situations youre scared of, or certains thing youre afraid of not happening, dont be shy share it with your closes person (mom or friend), try to be honest with yourself and be fair to your mind.

If its extremely severe then you should check in with your gp and perhaps take some ant-depresant drugs.

you're in college and you're only 16?? well, you can't be stupid, so thats something to be happy about. about the drinking, i have ALOT of acoholics in my family, and your situation is exactly how my brother was & he never would of thought he'd be so addicted to acohol today. i know, you're like, i don't have a problem like that. but, with the attitude you have towards life in general and the fact that all your friends want to do is drink could turn into a potential problem. and i do understand how you're feeling, sometimes i just want to get out and do something, but my so -called friends just wanna get drunk, not spend time just chilling. i am trying to be positive and do something with my life as well, so atleast you kno that you're not the only one in this situation :)

Never give up. Talk to your friends about your problems and ask them to give you advice. But remember, you don't need to drink to socialise. Take care of yourself especially when you feel down, never feel alone. I bet all of your friends and family think your a special girl. Make sure you do what you want to do with your life and not what your friends want you to do. Hope your life ends up just like you want it to.
